WebA couple of folks have pointed out smoothed stone. The time required to smooth a stone floor is actually hardcoded into the game: 2,800 ticks, or about 47 seconds. A smoothed stone floor provides 2 beauty, has 0 flammability, and requires no additional materials. It can only be created from rough stone. WebRough stone is a special tile in this regard. Not only can it not get dirt tracked onto it, it has a cleanliness value of 0.00, equivalent to most non-sterile tiled rooms. This should be distinguished from rough-hewn stone (which resides under mined out rocks), and smoothed stone, which can get dirt-tracked onto it.

Tiles: I put that shit everywhere. Anywhere outdoors or likely to have a fire. Generator rooms, main hallways, store rooms etc. Concrete: I avoid it.

Flagstone has no beauty (tile is 2 beauty), returns nothing when deconstructing (tile returns 2-3 blocks). So why would you ever build Flagstone instead of tile, even for roads?
