The TJ never came with any axles capable of running 37" tires and not breaking or at least not lasting very long. The biggest tire size I'd run on a Wrangler TJ with any axles the factory ever installed would be 35's. Web12 mag 2015 · Your LJ's front Dana 30 isn't up to a 37" tire size, its tubes, knuckles, ball joints, R&P gears, brakes, etc. just aren't up to that big of a tire. I'd go 35" tires and 5" of additional clearance like a 4" suspension lift and a 1" body lift. I'm no fan of LCG since our TJs aren't unstable enough on even very off-camber trails to worry about.

A front TJ Dana 44 won’t have much additional strength in the areas needed to reinforce for very large tires. Used only for mild street use, I suspect the Dana 30 would be okay. Sure short term a dana 30 can handle even 40s but how long until the components start to wear and tear. Jumping from 35s to 37s adds ALOT of meat to the tire.
