WebJan 1, 2024 · The two main particle methods to simulate complex free-surface flows are the SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) and MPS (Moving Particle Semi-implicit) methods, which are closely related. Regarding complex flooding flow problems, several studies can be found with these methods. WebSimulating droplet impacts on a flexible substrate is a challenge to numerical methods due to the coupling of free surface, elasticity, large deformation and surface tension. In this study, a fully meshfree model of fluid–solid interaction is developed based on the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method.

WebGPUSPH: SPH free surface flow model for GPUs (Old site. New site: www.gpusph.org) Introduction GPUSPH is an implementation of Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics for free surface flows (Monaghan, 1994, 2005) on a Nvidia graphics card. In this application, the fluid can be water or a more viscous substance like lava (see also GPU-LAVA).
